We are quickly expanding across the U.S. and provide parking and transportation management services as well as remote location management to some of the nation’s largest property owners and managers. Our special events division is responsible for the management of large-scale athletic events, industry shows, large scale transportation services, and more. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We seek a forward-looking thinker who wants to manage not just for today but for tomorrow; an experienced manager in an events-oriented position either in the lead event management position or a talented professional looking to take that next step. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional leader with experience in growing and managing the special events function in a dynamic growth environment. We seek an individual who can streamline processes and logistics for the events function in a manner that offers a first-class service experience to both clients and customers. The position requires exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization. The candidate should possess strong and independent problem-solving skills, and the ability to exercise sound judgement and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
This is a new position in the company needed as a result of our growth. You will be responsible for:
Bringing creativity and a fresh, current approach to further develop this function within the company, defining strategy for the division and overseeing P&L’s
Approaching special events division management from not just a logistics perspective but also from a hospitality perspective
Plan and manage all events within the organization from prospective client interaction to event operation and post-event evaluation
Define yearly budget and analyze ROI
Modify and develop event SOP’s with your team as needed
THE SKILLS AND TRAINING WE SEEK
Experience in managing transportation and parking for large scale events such as college or professional athletics or at venues including arenas or large concert venues, convention and industry shows, or similar
Logistical expertise as it relates to both parking and shuttle, van, or bus transportation
Experience with the valet component that often exists within large scale events
Familiarity and experience managing the technology available in offering the end user efficient and easy options for transportation and parking
Experience developing the public safety components important to the special events function
Ability to embrace the future and innovation of the parking industry
Possess high-integrity and openness to new ideas
Energetic, highly self-motivated, with an inquiring mind and passion for excellence
Passion for performing as a team member and mentoring and developing your team
At least 5-7 years of professionally related experience required
