The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a research university and academic health center that discovers, teaches and applies knowledge for the intellectual, cultural, social and economic benefit of Birmingham, the state and beyond. The Manager of Campus Parking Operations provides support in directing parking and transportation operations and planning for the UAB academic campus. Position involves managing and directing daily parking and transportation operations, including administration, permits, fine collection, enforcement, lot/garage maintenance and construction. Position provides leadership and management support to departmental staff and ensures that policies support the needs of the campus administration and other users, including student groups, neighbors of the University, vendors, coordinators of large special events and other customers.
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience managing a parking and transit program on an urban University campus; work experience may not substitute for education requirement
Experience with T2 (Flex) Systems unified parking management software, or similar
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Solid team-building, project management, process improvement and analytical skills
Ability to prepare and conduct presentations and meetings
Valid driver’s license. Driving record should meet University underwriting standards to drive State’s vehicle
Ability to direct and manage multiple tasks, priorities and shifting expectations in a dynamic and growing institutional environment
Certified Administrator of Public Parking (CAPP) or Certified Parking Professional (CPP) certification preferred
